15GB free backups now offered by Google One for Android and iOS devices.

The Google One cloud storage service from Google, recently received an update today that will offer 15GB free phone backups to anyone who downloads the app on an android or iOS device.

Google One is a subscription service developed by Google that offers expanded cloud storage and is intended for the consumer market What is Google One? . The 15GB storage bonus is offered even to users without a paid membership, according to Tech Crunch.

The storage is shared across Google Drive, Gmail, and Google Photos.  Paid members already got access to this feature on Android as of last year, which stored texts, contacts, apps, photos and videos of these users in Google’s cloud.

The 15GB phone backups are now available to Android users for free. The wait will still be a little longer for iOS users, who await Google One’s rollout in the near future. With this free backup feature, Google is clearly trying to get more people onto Google One.
