Let’s see how this works: Wannaby, the company that created Wanna Kicks, uses a combination of AR (Augmented reality, which is the integration of digital information with the user’s environment in real time. Unlike virtual reality, which creates a totally artificial environment, augmented reality uses the existing environment and overlays new information on top of it), computer vision, and rendering technology to help you achieve the right shoe fit. All you have to do is; download the app, browse different types of shoes, including Puma Creepers and Yeezys, virtually “try on” pairs with the app’s AR tech and your smart phone camera, and click “find in store” to purchase sneakers.

Another cool feature of the app is that you can try on shoes in different locations. The app adapts to different settings, such as room lighting, so you’ll know if a pair of shoes will look good at school or church or your favorite brunch spot. The app also considers what outfits you’re wearing, so you can easily see how sneakers will coordinate with your wardrobe. Unfortunately, Wanna Kicks is only available on the apple app store for the iphone, but many android users can’t wait to have the app on the android OS as soon as possible.
